Dr. Leslie Darnell joined AZPerio in November 2020. She sees patients at the Ahwatukee and Gilbert offices.
Throughout her training and practice, she has focused on providing oral health education and comprehensive care to patients while utilizing the most up-to-date treatment modalities, which include the use of cone beam CT. She has also helped advance research dentistry through her involvement in research studies related to periodontal surgery and wound healing.
While highly research-focused, evidence-based and committed to advancing the science of periodontics, Dr. Darnell is also a passionate advocate for patients’ health and well-being. She is a strong supporter of organized dentistry and is an active member of several local and national dental organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology.

Upon completion of that program, she obtained a specialty certificate in periodontics at Saint Louis University, earning a Master of Science in Dentistry degree.

“The most rewarding aspect of dentistry to me is knowing that I can help transform the lives of my patients by restoring their oral health and helping them to regain their confidence and smiles!”
